Online Courses

Our online cookery courses are ideal for any young person interested in learning to cook for their skills requirement of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. This is a fully supported, affordable, home based course, accessible to all, it is designed to engage and inspire participants whilst teaching an invaluable life skill. 

How does it work?

Upon booking you will be assigned an online tutor who will also be your DofE assesor.


They will sign off weekly tasks and complete the online assessment report at the end of the course. 

What is provided?

We’ll provide you with recipe cards, reporting forms and additional support materials such as videos and helpful tips.  

Ingredients and equipment provided by the student.

What help will I get?

Your tutor is available to answer any questions you may have about your recipes. They will also provide support and guidance to help improve your cooking. 


Where applicable, advice on ingredients selection and substitution will also be given.

When can I start?

Your 12 week course can start anytime you would like.


As soon as you have signed up we will send you a welcome e-mail and give you access to the student portal where you will find your first recipes. 

What does it cost?

The cost is £90 for the 12 week course.

This includes online support from your assigned tutor for the duration of the course, plus access to all materials for a whole year.

Cookery is always a popular choice for the Skills requirement of the DofE Award, and from our experience of cooking with young people, we know the sense of achievement they get from cooking great recipes, as well as building skills that will stay with them for life. We offer the following course suitable for those taking part in the Bronze or Silver Award.
